Exam center for IELTS is located at many places around the world, with which we can book the test however booking for the tests should be done before a fortnight at the least as confirmation seat could be done. Exams are conducted mostly on Saturdays and recently they have added a few tests on Thursdays too. But academic and general are conducted on two Saturdays every month whereas exam on Thursdays is conducted once a month. 

Booking can be done with a scanned copy of the candidate`s passport with both front and back page in either of pdf or jpg format. It not mandatory to book IELTS through the authorized or registered center as it can be done by an individual at their home even. Payment modes are credit/ debit card, net banking as well.

Confirmation of seat will be done once the payment has been made, following which you will receive an email to the registered e-mail id. The details of the test location and timing will be mentioned in it. The timing and location of the speaking test will be intimated a week before the main exam through e-mail, SMS and by an automated voice call to the registered number of the candidate. 

IDP offers the option to choose the speaking slot date whereas the British council is yet to provide this offer. Candidate should take their passport original to the test centers.
